What people say

4.1

  • Comfortable and discreet

Well made and provide consistent compression while still being comfortable to wear. The silicone covering feels soft against the skin, and the low-profile design makes them much more discreet for everyday wear.

    Danielle, Amazon, June 2026

  • Comfortable

I like that there are two sizes included so you can get the proper fit. The magnets are strong and coated with silicone so they are comfortable without pinching the skin. Just one on each side; very easy.

    Denise H., Amazon, April 2026

  • Discreet, well made, strong hold

The design is simple and understated, which makes them easy to wear discreetly. The magnets have a good, secure strength and stay in place well during use.

    Amazon reviewer, Amazon, March 2026

  • Quite strong, but not uncomfortable

I have been using this for a few days now and sometimes I forget that I have them on. They only come off if I accidentally brush my ear with force.

    Amazon reviewer, Amazon, March 2026

  • Very strong magnets, come in a nice container

When I opened the handy storage jar, they all jumped together. It comes with felt pads to cushion the magnets, if needed. The first time I used them, it was surprisingly comfortable, almost relaxing.

    Amazon reviewer, Amazon, March 2026

  • Comfortable to wear

Comfortable to wear and come with soft pads if you need extra cushioning. The magnets are strong and apply good pressure without causing pain. There are two sizes for small and large areas.

What you are getting

  • Held by magnets

One disc sits on each side of the ear and the pair holds itself in place. No clip, no spring, nothing to pierce.

  • Two sizes in the box

Large discs at 15/16 inch and small at 9/16 inch, so the pair can match the part of the ear it sits on.

  • Silicone over neodymium

A smooth silicone shell over a neodymium magnet: matte to the eye and soft against the skin.

  • Comfort pads

Four thin adhesive pads go between disc and skin, to cushion the hold and ease the pressure if it feels too firm.

  • A jar to keep them in

A screw-top jar for the discs and pads, so the kit travels and stays together.

  • Started by a dermatologist

Keloid Buds began when a dermatologist suggested a version of the Cauli Buds disc made for her ear keloid patients.

How the kit is used

  1. Place a comfort pad on each disc.

  2. Set one disc on each side of the ear. The magnets hold them in place.

  3. Wear them as your dermatologist directs.

What the research says

Published research describes pressure on the ear as an add-on step used after an ear keloid is surgically removed.123

Magnets have been studied as a way to apply that pressure. One hospital in Korea reported that 89.4 percent of 883 patients had no return of their ear keloid 18 months after removal followed by magnet pressure.1

Sources include studies published in peer-reviewed medical journals: Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global Open and Archives of Craniofacial Surgery.

Keloid Buds were not tested in the studies cited on this page.

Questions

What is in the kit?

Two large magnetic discs, two small magnetic discs, four thin adhesive comfort pads, and a screw-top jar to keep them in. The two sizes let you match the disc to the size of your earlobe.

How do the discs stay on?

One disc sits on the front of the earlobe and one on the back. The magnets pull toward each other through the lobe and hold themselves in place. A comfort pad can go between the disc and your skin.

How long do people wear them?

That depends on your situation, so follow your dermatologist's guidance on how many hours a day and for how many weeks. If the pressure feels painful or your skin looks irritated, take them off and check with your doctor.

Does this replace my dermatologist?

No. Keloid Buds are a pressure tool, not a substitute for medical care. Use them as part of a plan you have agreed with your dermatologist, and follow their guidance.

Can I use them right after surgery?

Ask your surgeon or dermatologist when to start. They will tell you when the site is ready for pressure.

Where do you ship?

Orders ship from the United States. You will get a tracking link by email once your order is on its way.
